Effective treatment requires combining the emotional with the physical
There are substantial differences between the sexual dysfunction of men and women. The most common problem in men is that they cannot achieve erections, despite being sexually motivated. Women, on the contrary, are afflicted with reduced sexual desire as well as to being able to achieve sexual arousal or remain sexually aroused.

These different complaints require different forms of treatment. Men’s complaints can be treated with drugs that work peripherally, such as Viagra or Levitra, so-called PDE5 Inhibitors. This treatment induces an increase in blood flow in the genital area during sexual stimulation. In principle, PDE5 Inhibitors also might have this effect in women. Experiments have shown that in general, PDE5 Inhibitors will work in healthy women, but not in all women suffering from FSD.
Viagra and other PDE5 Inhibitors only influence the genital arousal if there is an activation of central (brain) mechanisms which are necessary for the interpretation of stimuli as sexual. Women with FSD suffer – by definition – from low sexual interest, attentional deficits for erotic cues and avoidance of sexual stimulation, do not have this activation of central brain mechanisms. PDE5 Inhibitors will not have any effect on these women with FSD.
Lybridos solution is a combination of testosterone with PDE5 Inhibitors: a unique medicine with dual action.
